The Baltimore Comic-Con will be held October 18-20, 2019 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. You can purchase tickets online now.
On Saturday morning, the Baltimore Running Festival will take place. This will create changes to the usual traffic and parking options in the city on Saturday. Please plan ahead.
We have been working with the City of Baltimore and the Baltimore Running Festival to come up with the information YOU need to get to and from the Baltimore Convention Center. We have the following recommendations:
If you are driving into town, please keep the following in mind:
We have included the map focusing on the area around the Baltimore Convention Center, as well as the full route and an estimate from the Baltimore Running Festival as to where people will be during the day.
The chart below gives the times marathon and half-marathon runners should be in neighborhood locations:
The following link is provided by the city of Baltimore with specific road closure times: https://transportation.baltimorecity.gov/BaltimoreMarathon2019Map. It is the source of much of the information in this summary.
The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) encourages travelers to be mindful of parking and road closures, and to make public transportation your choice for getting to the area. On race day, roadways around town, near the stadium, and near the Inner Harbor will be closed prior to 7:30am for the marathon start. This will be further complicated by the half-marathon start at 9:45am. Light Rail will deliver riders to the area, and provides free parking where parking is available. The Light Rail system will run every 30 minutes beginning at 6am coming South from Hunt Valley (which is a 50 minute ride) to the stadium, and at 5am coming North from Cromwell (a 26 minute ride) to the stadium. Riders should exit from the Convention Center stop. You may also save a few dollars if you had planned to pay to park for the show.
