Robert Lemieux
Life in the Comics

Robert Lemieux is a scholar, curator, and filmmaker. A professor of Communication & Cinema, his creative endeavors include curating popular museum exhibitions that have focused on comic strips, Caldecott award-winning children’s books, circus history, animation history (forthcoming), and graphic novels (forthcoming). He has collaborated with some of America’s most notable museums including the National Gallery of Art, the Smithsonian Institution, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Ringling Circus Museum, the Norman Rockwell Museum, and The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. He is currently working on a feature-length documentary, Life in the Comics, that focuses on the cultural and historical impact of 20th century American comic strips.
