With a career stretching back to First Comics, Steve Epting made his name with Marvel fans everywhere with an eminent fifty-issue run drawing The Avengers in the 1990s. He also contributed art for X-Factor and the X-Men, as well as Superman and Aquaman at DC Comics. Epting branched out on various Crossgen titles, including co-creating the Eisner-nominated pirate saga, El Cazador.
Epting returned to Marvel to begin an award-winning collaboration with Ed Brubaker on Captain America and The Marvels Project. He then teamed with Jonathan Hickman for a defining run on Fantastic Four, followed by New Avengers.
Epting, along with Brubaker, co-created the Winter Soldier, the main character from the smash hit movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Epting has recently re-teamed with Brubaker on the smash hit Velvet for Image Comics, and provided the art for the relaunch of Batwoman for DC Comics.
